Erratic at best
This posting is spurred on by a friend of mine, Steven, who recently joined the Vox bandwagon. He seems to expect to be using it about as much as I've used mine so far, so I thought I'd see what I could do about enlivening the place.
That said, I don't have much to say, not because things have been quiet in my world but because they've been so busy I don't even know where to begin. I'm in San Diego now, all settled in the apartment and working as a Teaching Assistant. Being a Teaching Assistant in grad school is different from being a Teacher's Aide in sophomore year of high school in that I actually know (or at least, am expected to know) what I'm talking about, I have office hours, and I have to grade things. Oh yeah, and instead of throwing spitwads at me or ignoring me after class, the students actually come to ask me questions, about deadlines and readings and what are some good international films that address coming out? It's strange, I tell you, strange but I love it. Especially the absence of spitwads.
